Harbor Ministries
Harbor (n.) a shelter. A place of security and comfort providing ships shelter from wind, waves and currents enabling them to safetly anchor and transport cargo.
We believe this definition of a harbor fits perfectly with our priorities for the Calvary College Ministry.
Our first goal is to provide a safe and comfortable haven for college students to take refuge from their daily routine. Secondly, Calvary offers a place for college students to “drop anchor;” a place to set down your roots. Lastly a harbor is a place where a ship can load and unload cargo. Similarly, by providing opportunities for worship and growth, the Calvary College Ministry is dedicated to feeding students with God’s Word, equipping them to feed others through service and evangelism.
Calvary is a safe harbor—we are here to help you weather the storms of life, equipping you to successfully navigate the waters of the world. Please take the time look inside...

CRAZY LOVE
By: Francis Chan
"Does something deep inside your heart long to break free from the status quo? Are you hungry for an authentic faith that addresses the problems of our world with tangible, even radical, solutions? God is calling you to a passionate love relationship with Himself. Because the answer to religious complacency isn't working harder at a list of do's and don'ts — it's falling in love with God. And once you encounter His love, as Francis describes it, you will never be the same. Because when you're wildly in love with someone, it changes everything" (Crazy Love, Francis Chan, http://www.crazylovebook.com/)
Adopt-a-Student
Welcome to Rome! Our church family is committed to making Rome feel like home. College students are a vital part of our ministry here at Calvary. We love watching college students serving the Lord through our body of believers. We believe it is important to provide you with opportunities of service, but also to minister to you as well.
We have a wonderful adopt-a-student program here at Calvary. While many students are away from their families and friends, we are able to support and encourage them as their church family. When one of our families adopts a college student, they make them part of their own family by:
· Inviting student to join their family for meals
· Opening up their home, so college student can get away
· Providing a washer and dryer that doesn’t cost money
· Praying daily for their student and be an available source of encouragement

“He calmed the storms to a whisper and stilled the waves.
What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor.”
Psalm 107:29-30
