Dr. Steve Andrews
Senior Pastor
Dr. Steve Andrews joined the Calvary family in August 1999 as pastor. Dr. Andrews is married to the former Karen Thomas. He was reared in the North Metro Atlanta area, and Karen is from Merritt Island, FL. They have two daughters and two sons.  

Dr. Andrews has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Luther Rice Seminary, a Master of Divinity degree from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Georgia. He has served as the Senior Pastor of the Carlisle Avenue Baptist Church in Louisville, KY and at the New Bethany Baptist Church in Buford, GA. 

In addition, Dr. Andrews served full time in ministries of youth and education at churches in Memphis, TN; Coldwater, MS; and in Lawrenceville, GA. Dr. Andrews strives to communicate the Word of God with clarity, passion, and creativity. His sermons encourage the congregation to embrace the call of God to become followers of Christ. Dr. Andrews has published three books, Surge Beyond Setbacks, Iron 2 Iron, and Mountain Moving Faith. Kirk Ayers

Worship Leader
Kirk joined the Calvary family in 2007 as worship leader.  Kirk grew up at Calvary and is giving back to the church that continues to support his ministry. Kirk has led youth camps and continues to use his God-given voice to worship our Lord through music. You can reach Kirk at kam133@bellsouth.net for a preview of his music and booking arrangements. Kirk, Stephanie, and the girls welcomed baby boy Copeland in October.

 

 

 

 

 

Michael Van Sant

Minister of Students 

Michael officially joined the Calvary family in February 2007 as minister of students.  Michael married his wife, Dana, in March of 2005.  They received their precious blessing from the Lord, Sadie Abigail, in January 2010.  Michael and Dana ministered to the youth at Calvary for two years before joining Calvary's staff.  They both graduated from Berry College in 2004.  Michael is currently working on his Masters of Divinity in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  Contact Michael by phone at (706) 291-1461 ext. 207, or by e-mail at michael@calvaryrome.org.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dianne West

Administrative Assistant

Dianne provides valuable support to our ministry staff and church family as she works behind the scenes to keep the CBC calendar, campus, finances, ministries, and staff on track.
